World News: top 10 safest airlines companies in the world

Which airline company to chose to have a safe trip? The ranking of the safest airlines in the world has been published by AirlineRatings.com

To achieve this ranking, Thomas’ team has based its researches on the historical operations of each transporter, incident records and operational excellence. It analyzed the records of 449 airlines. 149 of them have got 7 stars, the highest rating for safety; fifty or so had 3 or less. And five have won only 1 star: Agni Air, Kam Air, Nepal Airlines, Scat and Tara Air).

Top 10 safest airlines in 2015 (in alphabetical order):

   1 – Air New Zealand (Nouvelle-Zélande)

   2 – British Airways (Royaume-Uni)

   3 – Cathay Pacific Airways (Chine)

   4– Emirates (Émirat de Dubaï)

   5 – Eithad Airways (Émirats arabes unis)

   6 – EVA Air (Taïwan)

   7 – Finnair (Finlande)

   8 – Lufthansa (Allemagne)

   9– Qantas (Australie)

   10 – Singapore Airlines (Singapour)

The website has also established a list of the ten low-cost companies safest. Five of them are European.

   1 – Aer Lingus (Irlande)

   2 – Alaska Airlines (États-Unis)

   3 – Icelandair (Islande)

   4 – Jetblue (États-Unis)

   5 – Jetstar (Australie)

   7 – Monarch Airlines (Royaume-Uni)

   8– Thomas Cook (Royaume-Uni)

   9 – TUI Fly (Allemagne)

   10 – Westjet (Canada)
